Accessibility Statement

This statement applies to https://praxe.co.uk. Last reviewed: 21 September 2026. We review this statement annually and after any major site changes.

Our commitment

Praxe is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

We actively work to make our websites usable by people who rely on keyboard navigation, screen readers, high-contrast modes, or other assistive technologies.

Under the Equality Act 2010, we have a duty to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not disadvantaged when using our website.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Key accessibility features this site includes:

  • Skip-to-content link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
  • All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable with a visible focus indicator.
  • Focused elements are not obscured by the sticky navigation bar (WCAG 2.4.11).
  • Colour contrast ratios meet WCAG AA minimums: ≥4.5:1 for normal text, ≥3:1 for large text and UI components.
  • All form inputs have associated labels (visible or screen-reader accessible).
  • Images include descriptive alt text, or empty alt="" where decorative.
  • Semantic HTML headings (h1-h3) are used in a logical order.
  • Page language is declared (lang="en-GB").
  • Interactive elements meet minimum touch target sizes (WCAG 2.5.8).
  • Animations and transitions are suppressed when the user has requested reduced motion.
  • Page structure uses semantic landmark elements (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>).

Known limitations

We test the site with axe-core (WCAG 2.2 AA rules) and by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader. Automated checks currently report no WCAG violations; they flag one best-practice item, listed below. The rest come from manual testing or from a third party.

Confirmed

  • Header and footer navigation on interior pages (the location pages, privacy policy, terms and this page) - some text links have a hit area shorter than the 24×24 CSS pixel minimum in WCAG 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum). Every link is still reachable by keyboard and announced by screen readers. Navigation on the homepage is 44px; we are raising the shared site header and footer to match.
  • Bot check on the review-request form - the check is Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party widget, so we cannot guarantee its conformance. If it blocks you, email office@praxe.co.uk and we will take the request directly.
  • Fixed mobile enquire bar on interior pages - at screen widths under 400px this bar sits outside a labelled landmark, which axe reports as a best-practice issue (not a WCAG 2.2 AA failure). It is reachable and announced. We are moving it inside a labelled region.

Precautionary - content we have not audited

  • PDF documents - we publish none today. If we link a PDF that is not tagged for accessibility, we will say so on this page and provide the content in another format on request.
  • Other third-party embeds - we embed none today. If we add a booking widget, map or video embed, we will test it and list any barrier here.

Technical information

Praxe relies on the following technologies for WCAG 2.2 conformance:

  • HTML5
  • CSS (including ARIA roles and landmark regions)
  • JavaScript (for interactive components such as navigation menus, carousels, and accordions)
